Hail and well met, fellow traveler! Welcome to the website for the 26th Annual British Women Writers Association Conference. The conference will be held from April 11-14, 2018. Your journey for this event will take you to the University of Texas campus located in the extraordinary city of Austin.
The 2018 BWWC will forge “New Directions” by asking for proposals that explore innovation in the fields of women’s writing, literary criticism, and British studies. Keeping in the spirit of new directions, we welcome papers and panels based in the long 18th and 19th centuries but also encourage projects focused in the early years of the 20th century.
You can view our updated conference program here.
(Panels with three presenters allow for each presenter to have 20 minutes.)
(Panels with four presenters allow for each presenter to have 15 minutes.)
Please refer to our Call for Papers for more information on the conference theme. Email proposals for individual papers and/or 3-4 person panels to firstname.lastname@example.org by December 8, 2017. You can view a preliminary schedule for the conference, including tentative keynote times and panel locations, here.
